Node.js was introduced in 2009 and since then has caught the programmer world by storm. Its hard to deny Node.js as a prominent back-end contender. Companies such as Netflix, LinkedIn, Uber, PayPal, and NASA are running Node.JS in their production environment. As a Java Developer you might be curious as to how to get started in the Node.js world and how to navigate the many tools and frameworks. This talk will go over on how to get started developing Node.js applications if you are coming from a Java Development background. Shots at Java and statically typed languages will be kept to a minimum.
