The topic of this presentation is about the fastest growing open source Java–based Open Cloud Platform called GridGain, and how it is ideally suited for emerging native cloud application development.

The presentation starts with a brief introduction to grid computing and cloud computing, followed by a discussion about a synergy between the two and the actual use cases.

Further, GridGain and its key features will be reviewed with an emphasis on how these features simplify running grid–enabled applications on the cloud environment. Real–life example of running largest publicly known grid on Amazon using GridGain will be discussed. Live coding example of creating grid-enabled application with GridGain will demonstrate the "powerful simplicity" of the GridGain features.
