"Effective VisualAge for Java, Version 3" (Wiley Computer Publishing; ISBN 0-471-31730-6) by Scott Stanchfield and Isabelle Mauny is guide to the newest feature of VA for Java and also a resource for the VA for Java certification program. I will be honest and say that I do not like VA for Java. Therefore, I had no personal interest in this book. However, that is me and the product. It has nothing to do with the book.

The book seems fine from a quick glance. It starts with an introduction on how to use VA for Java. A few chapters later it moves into JavaBeans Components. The section after that is Visual programming. Finally, it ends on advanced topics such as Databases, EJBs, and Servlets.
