"Sendmail" by Costales (O'Reilly; ISBN 1-56592-056-2) is massive tome on Sendmail. However, sendmail is so big and complex. This book still has some gaps. Nevertheless, this book is very helpful at times in figuring out sendmail. My suggestion if you need to run sendmail is to get this book and use it along with the documentation that comes with sendmail. Neither by themselves is enough, but the combination is.
