NetWorld Review

Review by Billy Barron

"NetWorld: what people are really doing on the INTERNET, and what it means to you" by David Rothman (Prima Publishing; ISBN 0-7615-0013-8) is an interesting break for the technical books most of read all the time. It cuts through the hype (positive and negative) of the Internet on all sorts of topics from business to entertainment to publishing to romance and covers what is really being done. It talks about what works and doesn't work. The only problem with the book is that the status of the addicting love story between Greg and Sue was not resolved due to publishing deadlines. I hope there is a later printing that fixes this. Give this book to your friend who thinks the Internet is the savior of mankind or the doom of us all as it takes a positive view but does admit it isn't perfect.
