Just Java Review

Review by Billy Barron

1.1 Edition

"Just Java 1.1" by Peter van der Linden (Prentice Hall; ISBN 0-13-784174-4) is another worthy update to this wonderful book. It includes plenty of new material for Java 1.1 with the same easy to read language found in the previous editions.

2nd Edition

"Just Java" by Peter van der Linden (Prentice Hall; ISBN 0-13-272303-4) is still my favorite learning Java book. This new edition now covers JDBC, threads and the future of Java. All are welcome additions to the book. This book continues to be fun and I still highly recommend it.

1st Edition

"Just Java" by Peter van der Linden (Prentice Hall; ISBN 0-13-565839-X) is my favorite learning Java book. The big advantage of it compared to other Java books is that it is fun to read. There is a lot of tangents in the book but that is what keeps it fun and provides good breaks for the hardcore material. I would recommend it to any Java beginner.
