"Java AWT Reference" by Zukowski (O'Reilly; ISBN 1-56592-240-9) is by far the most massive book on AWT on the market. It is a strange book in that it is mostly reference by with some tutorial thrown in. I intend to use it for those rare times when The Java Class Libraries book does not provide the answer I need.

One good thing about this book is that it is actually 1.1 complaint, which as far as I am aware makes it the first AWT 1.1 book out on the market. This might be enough reason to buy it right there to get an explanation and reference for the new features.
