Core
Java Review Review by Billy Barron
"Core Java" (Prentice Hall, ISBN 0-13-596891-7) by Cornell and Horstmann is an upgraded version of the first addition. It adds 4 new chapters on JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), RMI (Remote Method Invokation), native methods and Java futures. All are welcome additions to this book and make it one of the most well-rounded Java books currently out. 1st Edition"Core Java" (Prentice Hall, ISBN 0-13-565755-5) by Cornell and Horstmann is a learning Java book. It goes into more detail than most of the books of this genre. The book has been a bestseller so it is well-liked by many people. However, personally, I much prefer "Just Java" from the same series. |
