"Improving Software Organizations: From Principals to Practice" (Addison-Wesley; ISBN 0-201-75820-2) by Mathiassen, Pries-Heje, Ngwenyama is a book that walks through four case studies of organizations that have adopted CMM. Since I am not a believer in CMM, it goes without saying that I am not a believer in this book. Oddly enough, I have worked with one of the companies discussed in this book and it was working there that turned me against CMM.
