Speaker #1: Dr. Charles Forgy
Dr Charles Forgy, inventor of the Rete algorithm, and the principal designer of
OPS5, the language in which the first commercially successful expert system
was written spoke first.
He gave the group an overview of rules engines and their history.
Speaker #2: Daniel Brookshier, JavaMUG President
Peer-to-peer (P2P) is not obvious for most things other than file sharing.
Moving To The P2P World With JXTA.

Crayton Harrison, a reporter for The Dallas Morning News, attended
this month's JavaMUG meeting.
He was interested in speaking to JavaMUG techies who are unemployed,
underemployed, or have recently been unemployed.
Specifically, he is wanting to speak with people who have been through
some type of retraining or upgrading of skills.
He wants to know if it is helping them find jobs.

of the Dallas ColdFusion User Group (DFWCFUG)
and the JavaMUG was held. A presentation on Allaire’s JRun, an
application server based on the Java 2 Enterprise
Edition (J2EE) specifications, was given by Paul
Reilly, an engineer on the Allaire JRun development
