Barbara DeVries welcomed the participants and announced the first new year's meeting
to be a tribute to all sponsors and supporters of JavaMUG in 2001.
Announcements by President Dan Kern-Ekins

Dan's welcome message included special greetings to newcomers, an invitation to join the joblist,
a brief outline of activities in progress at the JavaMUG special interest groups.

In a prelude to the feature presentation Dan conducted a survey by show of hands on how many people
work with J2EE, servlets, JMS, JBoss, and Websphere.

President introduced the officers of the Board present.

On behalf of JavaMUG Board, Barbara DeVries expressed gratitude to 2001 sponsors
for their generous support.

President spoke about on-going preparations to start Java classes by Jim Burke and Toni McCarthy.

Webmaster, Pete Carapetyan, gave credit to Roberta Masciarelli for the graphical design of the WebSite.
He praised Gil Hansen for contributing his outstanding list of links to Java resources on the Web.
